   Original Kinkades are more than likely owned by private collectors at this point and it’s doubtful they would want to sell, thereby making it quite difficult to procure an original. Thomas himself owns the majority of his originals, or has them on display in certain galleries. You see an occasional original on Ebay, but being certain of it’s authenticity is another question. You can much more easily come by a Studio Proof edition which most closely resembles the original, and while pricey, they would save you a considerable amount of money compared to tracking down an original.
