Los Gatos painter Thomas Kinkade grew famous for his comforting, bucolic and often spiritual paintings — a snowy rural church on Christmas Eve bursting with light from within, a sailing ship at sea emerging from a cloud-flecked sunrise. Music, Amazing Grace, Kevin MacLeod.

I do not own any of the pictures, nor the music. Just a tribute to my favorite artist.

I am very sad to hear the news that Thomas Kinkade has passed away. I am uploading this film in his memory. In 2004, our organization, Bridge Builders International, invited Thomas and Nanette to come to Latvia for a week filled with art, children, education, worship, networking and fun. Upon his return we created this 17 minute movie, “Painting the Light in Latvia”. I wrote the script. Photos and footage were provided by Bob Davis, Don Ferguson, Shelly Pierce, Renalda Ludvika, Andris Sprogis and Talis Talbergs.
