For a Thomas Kinkade (love him!), I would definiitely frame it. Framing will protect the art much better, especially for a kid’s room.

Thomas Kinkade is not an artist- he is a complete joke and doesn’t deserve to belong to any grouping of significant, important, or even talented artists. He is in it for the money only, and has no sense of artistry whatsoever. Who likes Thomas Kinkade?

TECHNIQUE AND STYLE
Kinkade’s light infused technique bears great kinship to a little known group of nineteenth century American painters known as the Luminists. As Kinkade puts it, "Like the Luminists, I strive for three visual aspects in my work: soft edges, a warm palette, and an overall sense of light."

SUBJECT MATTER
After studying art at University of California at Berkley Kinkade and a friend traveled by boxcar from California to New York, creating wonderful sketches of the beauty and diversity of the American landscape at each stop along the way. The deatils and small city scenes were published as "The Artist Guide to Sketching" in 1982.

The popularity of the book landed the two fledgling artists jobs at Ralph Bakshi Studios, creating background art for the animated feature film Fire and Ice. This intensive period of work for the movie business may well have been the genesis of Kinkade’s mastery of pictorial lighting effects. Soon, Thom started exploring light and imaginative worlds with abandon. It was during this period that he acquired his moniker as the The Painter of Light

I kind of doubt it would sell if its a copy of a Thomas Kinkade… no offense but that guy is everywhere, and people generally don’t buy copies, no matter how good they are. Some people would prefer to just buy a print of the original.

If you are interested in selling artwork though, go under the ‘artist’ category in community, or you can try the Etsy site instead, where you will be taken more seriously.
